The Pit Surf Shop & Boardriders Grill

The Pit is seeking one to three college students for summer internships in 2011. These highly sought after positions offer unique insight into the realities of small business marketing, management, and operations in a seasonal tourism environment.

Talent and experience in the following areas will factor into the offer process:

Marketing via print, internet (web site, social media, & online ticketing), street teams, texting programs
Promotion through campaign and event creation through management and execution of projects
Photography of events, products, and the facility for web, print, and email campaigns
and
Social Media experience producing and managing content on Facebook, Twitter, FourSquare, MySpace, etc.

Schedule and quantity of hours can be tailored to meet school requirements.
Program runs mid-May through late August 2010.

Perks include deep discounts on clothes, gear, and food plus free access to shows and events.

Lots of folks new and loved him as the pirate at Pamilco Jack’s or as a DJ, but everyone who ever surfed with him knows he always had a positive attitude and a hoot for every good ride he ever witnessed. We’ll all miss the guy who was there to share the stoke everyday. RIP brother.
