The Pit is a one-of-a-kind mash-up of a full blown surf shop and a bona-fide live music venue / chill grill. Our surf shop stocks an incredible array of surfboards and we are the original home to SKIM CITY, the largest skimboard retailer on the planet. Our laid back restaurant, The Boardriders Grill, serves Cali-style wraps, gourmet personal pizzas, monster salads, killer quesadillas, and much more (check the menu). And our renoun band room hosts everything from original regional & national bands to body-movin' DJs.
The Pit is in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina (aka Nags Head or the Outer Banks) at milepost 9 on the "big road." We hope you enjoy this web version of what we have going on - including our menu, show tickets, surf lessons, board sales... even the 14 year history of how we got where we are today. We are all about living the beach life and sharing the good times that are music, surfing, and getting together with friends.
